Vectorform in focus on Health Tech Today

Posted by Administrator – May 5, 2011

Vectorform-HealthTechToday-11-0504Here I am with Dr. Bill Crounse of Microsoft’s Health Tech Today, “a weekly online series providing cutting-edge stories at the intersection of health and information technology.” Yesterday’s interview with Dr. Crounse focused on three of Vectorform’s medical solutions: our Windows Phone 7 Mobile Med; Sony MD2GO, which runs on Windows 7, Windows 7 Slate, and any broswer-based, multi-touch enabled device; and a demo for kids’ physical rehab via Kinect for Xbox 360—which I performed on-camera!

At the Motor Show of Qatar

Posted by Lindsay Ruthven – February 8, 2011

The Qatar Motor Show was the place for leading auto makers to see and be seen last week, and Vectorform Germany’s Alissia Iljaitsch and Job Plas were onsite helping Volkswagen debuted our latest collaboration—an iPad application full of specifications and media for vehicle product specialists, and slick functionality. The content-managed iPad app was a hit with the visitors on the booth, who could access the extensive glossary and request digital brochures via email. A full content management system for VW admins and a clever spin on iPad’s natural user interface made the Volkswagen Motor Show App a hit, and our team loved being part of the VW entourage, which was rounded out with a luxury SUV with gold finishing (the Touareg Gold Edition), and Dakar 2011 winners Nasser Al-Attiyah and Timo Gottschalk.

Vectorform on ExtraTV

Posted by Lindsay Ruthven – April 1, 2010

Last summer Vectorform collaborated with ExtraTV to develop an application for the Microsoft Surface.  Check out the clip below of Vectorform’s Alison Weber, teaching Mario Lopez how to use this unique application, affectionately dubbed the Vectorform Telestrator.

We are thrilled with the spot, and only regret that a special shout-out to the team who worked extra hours to make this debut a success didn’t make the final cut. Clemens Conrad, Justin Bush, Hammam Chamma, and Karl Steckling, you rocked it! To our friends on the Microsoft Surface team, Kyle Warnick and Chris Wojahn, as usual you guys rock too!

Chris Pullman Lectures at CCS in Detroit

Posted by Lindsay Ruthven – September 29, 2009

One of Vectorform’s new designers, Ryan Cady who is Third Thursday Chair of AIGA Detroit, attended Chirs Pullman’s lecture at CCS in Detroit. Mr. Pullman gave his lecture on his vast history as a Designer, his process from being a History major in undergrad at Princeton, and his ultimate admission to getting his MFA from Yale.

After graduating from Yale in 1966, Chris Pullman began teaching at Yale and working in his own practice with his wife before being asked to become the head of design at WGBH in Boston.  The station had just been rebranded, and this was at a time when public television was still in its infancy stages and was not as well known as it is today.  He worked at WGBH for over 30 years helping to mold the station by creating promotions, print, motion graphics for shows such as Nova and Frontline, some of the earliest interactive content for the web (Prodigy!), as well heading up the design group for WGBH’s new HQ in Boston.

He also created the 2mobile to promote the station, which is pretty awesome.
