A few weeks ago, I received an email that I never thought I’d see as a devout Android developer. After many years of rejection letters and “sold out”, or “busy” messages, I received the email from Google saying I was selected to attend their Google I/O conference!
I was so excited to learn, first hand, about Google, what they were releasing soon, to see what other developers were doing. And, I was excited to talk to others about what I’ve been doing, and show them some of the great apps we’ve made here at Vectorform. Read moreJennifer Tonio – May 2, 2013

Neowin’s John Callaham spoke with Kevin Foreman, Director of Product Vision, at Vectorform about Toolbox for Windows 8.
Here’s a sneak peek of the interview…
How did the idea come about to develop Toolbox for Windows 8?
We’ve noticed a trend with recent mobile operating systems in that they trade productivity and control for simplicity. For smaller devices, such as phones, this makes sense. However, for tablets and other larger-screen devices, we felt that there is an opportunity to take advantage of this under-utilized screen real estate. Our mission was to prove that simplicity and productivity are not mutually exclusive, and to provide a true multitasking environment for the touch computing era.

Vectorform created The AP Timeline Reader in collaboration with The Associated Press and Microsoft. Now the HTML5 site is up for a Technical Achievement Award at South by Southwest, which means our project is one of five recognized as “…re-inventing and re-defining the technical parameters of our online experience.”
How do we go about re-inventing and redefining the technical parameters of online experience? HTML5, CSS3, and pure UX magic. Hear master magician Dominic Espinosa talking about the AP Timeline Reader below, or wander over to Renee DeCoskey’s detailed overview at Business 2 Community. News reading reinvented, and it’s got pictures!

Today marks the first day of our brand new microsite portal Apps.Vectorform. This site will see many new additions and products in the next coming months so bookmark it now and come back soon.
We kicked off 2009 with SurfaceDJ Lite (free), our first consumer iPhone app in the iTunes App Store, and have since followed it with a much more featured-packed paid ($1.99) version of SurfaceDJ. We put hundreds of hours of design and development work into both versions to deliver fans with the choices and features they most requested. It was all worth it as SurfaceDJ is currently featured in the iTunes New & Featured section of the App Store and we couldn’t be happier. We are continuing to design and develop many more consumer apps and have a couple more almost ready to be released (more teasers and screenshots coming soon!)
Apps.Vectorform will be seeing some more enhancements and additions very soon (working on the iPhone optimized version now, and a better support forum). This is just the beginning, but we are excited to finally have a dedicated portal for all of these goodies just waiting to be gobbled up.
Thanks again to everyone who has downloaded SurfaceDJ and given us great valuable feedback. Keep it coming!
